Supports backing up a DVD as a simple copy, or re-encoding the item.

Device supports playback of any DVD region, provided the drive allows this.

MPEG4

1280x720p tested.

ASX

Does not support all formats. Some ASX content may play back.

Streaming Audio/Video Client

Most common protocols and codecs for streaming content. A few examples: Youtube, CNN, Shoutcast, Icecast, WWITV and FreeboxTV.

UPnP AV Client

UPnP MediaServer ControlPoint - UPnP-client which auto-detects UPnP servers on the network to browse and stream media/data-files from them.

UPnP MediaRenderer DCP - device can render (play) content.

UPnP AV Server

UPnP MediaServer DCP - UPnP-server that provides media library information and streams media-data (audio/video/picture files) to UPnP-clients on the network.

DLNA Digital media server (DMS).

UPnP server supports an Xbox360 compatibility mode.

Not supported on analog tuner models.

Analog TV

Full frequency range from 48.25 to 863.25 MHz

DVB-T TV

DVB-T playback and recording supported for non-encrypted broadcasts.

Recording

Record from TV, Composite or S-Video at 720x576 (PAL), 720x640 (NTSC) or any desired resolution.

 

HID

PS/2

PS/2 mouse and keyboard supported.

USB

Generic HID supported. Most wireless mice, game controllers, iR learn capable remote controls, wireless keyboards, joysticks and trackballs also supported.

Logitech Harmony

The definition of the UMP-XXX-A is provided in the Harmony Remote Software (online).

Other Remote

For other remote controls use the codeset of the SigmaTek XMB-510-Pro.

 

Optical

Disc types

Supports Mixed Mode CD's, Audio CD's, Video and Data DVD's and Data CD's. Support for CD-RW/DVD-RW and/or other formats depend on the installed drive's capabilities.

USB drives

USB optical drives supported when no internal drive present.

Eject

Internal drives can eject, but not retract due to drive imposed limitations.

BluRay

External BluRay drives are supported, but will be treated as a CD/DVD drive.

UFS

< UFS2.0

CDDB

Device uses CDDB for Audio CD detection and information.

Rip/Copy

Device can backup or re-encode DVDs in a number of popular video formats, including XviD, MPEG4, H264 and LAVC.

Device can rip Audio CD's into WAV, MP3, OGG and FLAC.
